I am a colorist.  My painting method is to apply touches of paint and to explore the play of light and color on my subjects.  I am influenced by the Impressionists and the Fauves.  I am sure that the time I spent in Haiti, with all the color used by that country's artists, has also influenced my work.

My figurative work is expressive, leaving the viewer room to interpret the mood and story of my subjects.

My landscapes are rich in color and evoke feelings of warmth regardless of the season depicted.

I enjoy painting still life and nudes in the studio but spend most of my painting hours out in nature!
